Carol M Manhart
Carol is originally from Phoenix, AZ and in 2006 graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics. In 2013, she earned her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Colorado, Boulder where she worked in Charles McHenry's lab studying the enzymology of DNA replication and DNA replication restart processes. She then relocated to Cornell University in Ithaca, NY as a post-doctoral fellow studying nucleases in DNA repair processes in Eric Alani's lab. There, she was supported by the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award from NIGMS NIH. In 2018, Carol joined the faculty at Temple University.
In her free time she likes to hike along the Wissahickon with her labrador, Murphy, go running or bike riding along the Schuylkill River, and drink craft beer from Colorado.

Graduate students
Scott J Witte
Scott Witte is a fourth year graduate student in the Manhart Lab where he works with the mismatch repair protein MutL𝜶. He moved to Philadelphia from just outside Baltimore where he attended Goucher College and worked at a start up for a year. Scott grew up in New Jersey along the shore and loves the beach. His hobbies include watching sports, playing soccer and volleyball, and cooking. Isabella M Rosa
Isabella earned her B.S. in Biochemistry from Temple University in 2019. Her undergraduate research was performed in the Manhart Lab working to help understand the ATPase activity of the protein MutL𝜶. She is currently in her third year in the Manhart Lab as a graduate student studying homologous recombination regulation in H. pylori. Isabella is originally from Northern California, but spent her childhood in Illinois and her teens in Central New Jersey. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, watching movies, hiking, swimming, and spending time with her two cats. Bryce W Collingwood

Bryce Collingwood is a first year graduate student working in the Manhart Lab. Bryce earned his B.S. in biology with a minor in chemistry from Towson University. Bryce grew up outside of Philadelphia, moved over seas at a young age to Switzerland, and now resides in Maryland. In his free time, Bryce loves to cook, fish, exercise, travel, and listen to music. Jonathan Piscitelli
Jonathan Piscitelli is a first year graduate student working in the Manhart Lab. He earned his B.S. in chemistry from The College of New Jersey. He has lived his whole life in Howell, New Jersey. Jonathan enjoys watching anime, spending time with family, and listening to music. Jonathan is manifesting having a cat within the next year.
